20 weeks

I grew up in a household where birthdays were, and still are, a big deal.  Every birthday that I can remember, my parents made sure I felt like the center of the universe.  I often think back to the time my Mom drove vegetarian chili and seven layer bar to Fresno because I had to work on my birthday, heaven forbid.  It is truly a blessing that I managed to find a husband that also goes out of his way to make a huge deal out of a silly day.  Unfortunately for me, Rylan, doesn't hold the same sentiment.  True to form, she decided February 21, like every other day of the year, is all about her.  Nothing makes you realize the insignificance of your birthday like spending it with a 4 month old.

19 weeks

Another fun week in the books!  We celebrated Valentine's Day as a family of THREE!  There are no words to describe the extra love we feel every day since Rylan has joined the world.  That being said, her Dad has decided we aren't going out to eat with her ever again.  So we will just have to enjoy the extra love over take out from now on.

Staying in didn't stop us from celebrating!  Dad sent his two girls very special flowers from our wedding florist, Grandma sent us delicious champagne and I perfected my oyster shuck.  It was a day worthing of a Michelin star.

18 weeks

Rylan had a great week!  She tried some new foods, went on a walk in Mom's old "hood" and had her 4 month appointment.  She is growing like a weed!  She has more than doubled her birth weight and added 6 inches to her height!

Rylan is ready for some football!  We were passed out by 8pm on Super Bowl sunday and, for once, it wasn't from mimosas.

We celebrated Ash Wednesday with Rylan's "Fairy" Godmother.  Rylan was surprisingly good during the entire mass.

This little girl is 4 months old today! 

17 weeks

This past weekend we hosted a baby shower for Baby Lulu!  Rylan, Daddy, Uncle Matt and Uncle Warren went to a brewery while the girls partied.  Of course Rylan was a perfect angel for Dad.  She's such a show off.

The best way to get out of going to costco is to poop your pants on the way there.  Let's hope her father doesn't learn this trick.

I remember thinking this beautiful outfit from Grandma would NEVER fit when I was pregnant.  Time flies...

We also had a walk date with Rylan's "Fairy" Godmother.  Rylan insisted on wearing her "shoes dress" because she knows how much Aunt Lila LOVES shoes.
