42 weeks

We had such a fun week filled with play dates, Auntie Lila dates, music class and FAMILY!  Rylan is getting more and more curious every week, making Mommy's life more and more challenging! Bring it on!!

She adores playing "horsey" with Pop

Rocking some serious bed head

One of the first pictures of her toothy grin

Blow drying hair straight up is Grandma's favorite family tradition

My chic little park date

Having fun with bestie Caitlin

Toilet paper is my saving grace when I need to get ready

So grateful for Rylan's special Auntie Lila!  Not only is she wonderful to Rylan, she is also such a huge help.  Today she took time out of her summer vaca to watch Ry during my appointment.

We took Aunt Lila to sushi after to say thank you

Rocking a denim skirt from cousin Reese!  Rylan didn't like the way it inhibited her walking so we took it off shortly after this picture.  Its important to have opinions.

Our music class friend Gabby!  She is a few months older than Ry which makes her very interesting in the eyes of a 10 month old.

Granny C and Grampy came to visit!

A few months ago Pop had the chance to fly on a B-17.  He surprised everyone with matching shirts for Father's Day.  It was so nice to get a picture of 3 out of 4 of the guys in their shirts!

Group dinner!  Can you spot the littlest McCartney??

41 weeks

This week Rylan got a second bottom and a second top tooth!  She now has a total of four teeth!  She also started clapping, which is basically the cutest thing I've ever seen.  She makes so many developments every single day!  It is truly a privilege to watch her learn and grow.

Electrical cords still hold a special place in her heart

Story time with Pop

We love her Bodin dress from Auntie Cami and Uncle Austin

Sushi lunch date with Mom

Sunday we headed to Coronado for an Eagles cover band.  The Eagles will always remind me of my mom and rocking out in a white windstar back in the day.

Cuddles with Auntie Lila!  We are so lucky to have her!

Always rested after a night in Mom's bed

Bubbles after story time at the Downtown Library

Fried chicken from the store deli is the BEST

Its important to get as high as possible to look out the window

"I'm coming for you Mom....."

This girl loves to toe the line.  She knows she can't stand up in the bath but maybe she can get away with standing up on this side of the bath tub??

Playing with balls in music

The sound of Pop opening the garage door after a long day and week is exciting for ALL of us.

40 weeks

Although it feels like we've turned the corner on teething our sleep has yet to return to normal.  My somewhat decent sleeper has totally regressed and now thinks its acceptable to wake up every two hours or so and will only sleep in Dad and Mom's bed.  Zzzzzzzzz

F U teething

Sometimes she takes her Tylenol willing, sometimes she looks like this

He is as big as a horse

East County pool toys

Taste testing Aunt Maureen's homemade ice-cream

Ready for adventures with Mom

Making beautiful music while Mom makes dinner

Testing out a few of her new teeth

Macaroni monster

One life lesson I will try to impart on Rylan is to pay careful attention to her potential suitors' baby book.  While dating, you may find it amusing when every other picture your potential mate's mother shows you is a small child that is clearly in to EVERYTHING, however, genetics are not something to be laughed at.

Her very own remote.  It's entertainment value expired about 5 minutes after this picture was taken.

Hogging the friendship drums in music class

Friday night tunes with Pop

9 months

Between teething and all the other hiccups of life we didn't make it to the beach for Rylan's 9 month picture.  So I went back through my phone and this was the only picture I took of her on July 9, which is fitting since this poor baby didn't take teething very well and this was definitely the month of "teething."  Happy 9 months sweet girl!  Heres hoping month number 10 is easier on both of us.

39 weeks

While we were visiting Papa and Grandma last week, Rylan got her very first tooth!  This week she is working on her top teeth and to say that she is taking it hard would be an understatement.  We are trying to keep her comfortable with lots of hugs, tylenol, and alcohol.

Clarification- the alcohol is for her parents

Rylan had so many 4th of July outfits she had to start wearing them on the first! 2 of 4!

3 of 4!

Already working on her tee ball game... or golf game?  I'm not sure which.

and away she goes with outfit 4 of 4!!  Happy 4th of July!

Library time with bestie Caitlin

She loves teasing me.  Her new favorite is to stand up in the bath and then sign NO when I ask her to sit back down.  She thinks its hysterical.

Loves bologna just like her Dad

By the end of the week we had both had enough of this teething business

La Mesa Music Class

Poor, sweet girl.  This too shall pass.
