32 weeks

Week 32 was filled with friends and fun!  We had so much fun meeting up with Sean's college friend and his wife.  I had a ton of fun watching Billy Joel perform downtown while Pop babysat. And, Rylan had fun trying to pull herself up and escape from her crib.  No injuries or escapes, it was a successful week!

Rylan had a great time lunching with Andrew and Amanda.  We can't wait to meet Baby Girl this fall!

I snuck away for the night to watch Billy Joel with Auntie Lila and Jeannine.  Rylan enjoyed a fun filled night with Dad.  She was an angel, of course.

I missed you too my love

Liberty Public Market play date with Caitlin

She likes to keep me on my toes/give me a heart attack

Rylan and I took Rooney to get his yearly vaccinations.  She insisted on wearing her kitty dress to the vet.  She loves dressing for an occasion.

I like to let Rylan scoot in the kitchen after Joe the house fairy comes to visit.  She loves getting to explore new territory and I love having a clean house!

She has a thing for ship captains

I love that little chicken head

So many remotes, so little time

I'm. Not. Ready. (but she is....)

We both enjoyed baking sugar cookies to send to Tia Romina

Once again, trying to give Mom a heart attack

Always my happy girl

31 weeks

This week we celebrated my very first Mother's Day!  Sean, Rylan and many others made sure I felt very special all WEEKEND long!  I don't think I washed a dish from Thursday to Monday.  I'm already counting down the days 'til next Mother's Day WEEKEND!

They say that waking up is hard to do

Mother's Day lunch at South Beach Grill

Family walk on the OB pier

Rylan and I spotted WHALES!

I was nice enough to share my Mother's Day ribeye with my favorite girl

There are so many things about having a child that make me love and appreciate my parents a million times more than I thought possible.  Putting her in the sink to dry her hair is one of those things.

Mother's Day bacon.  Rylan is definitely a carnivore.

This girl even makes laundry fun

Enjoying Sally's with Aunt Ker one last time

Rylan got a new doll in the mail from Grandma!  She's in love!

I am both proud and sad when she insists on feeding herself

She always has somewhere to go

She sleeps so well in Dad and Mom's bed

She absolutely refused to smile for the picture people.  Clearly she was saving her smile for the couch.

Getting stuck is one of the many hazards associated with only crawling backwards

Looking "healthy"

Time to retire the bouncer or audition for the Matrix

We like to wear stripes to music class

Nothing gets a Mother's heart racing like hearing the baby mobile turn on and then looking in the video monitor and not seeing a baby.  Rylan learned how to play her mobile and wedge herself underneath the camera all in one day.

I don't know if you are aware, but Costco has the BEST fans

Today, we walked to Farmer's Market. Steve the Farmer thought Rylan was so sweet he gave her a passion fruit and an avocado.  She loved both.

7 months

7 months!  I can hardly believe it!  Rylan loves crawling backwards, feeding herself, petting the animals, music class, other babies, Mom and Dad's sunglasses, cellphones, and most of all, Sheriff Callie.
Ready for her photo shoot

As she becomes increasingly aware of her surroundings, it becomes harder and harder to get her to look at the camera.

Family selfie

Putting her down at dog beach made me significantly more nervous than I anticipated

She clearly wasn't phased

It was a great 7 month trip

30 weeks

We were so happy to have Pop home for Rylan's 30 week birthday!  It always fun to take a random work day off and this was no exception!

Morning coffee and playtime

Ready for Draft Weekend and lunch with Pop

No technology before two in our house

Perfecting her backwards crawl

Playing with her Lucia doll

She used to reserve this smile for Mom, now only Callie (not pictured) gets this kind of love

My little shopping buddy

Rylan approves of broccoli

She loves to play with her pink bus

Two cookies are better than one

We recently read an article that said doing one weekend like thing every weekday increases your happiness.  So this particular weekday morning, we got up and walked to Starbucks.  It definitely helped start my day off on the right foot!!

FOMO - Fear Of Missing Out

Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Grandma bought Rylan this little dress in Mexico before Rylan was even born.  It is so fun to watch her grow into things!

Crazy hair, don't care!
