29 weeks

This week Rylan started music class!  It was so fun watching her interact with the other babies.  She loved playing with the instruments, "talking" to the other children and soaking it all in.  Its amazing how evident children's personalities are at such an early age.  Rylan is sweet, playful and a little reserved compared to some of the other babies.  Obviously it is because she's a genius.

Happy hour at the top of the hill is fun for everyone

She sure loves to eat

This chair always reminds me of the condo at Smart Corner

It may be time to start strapping her in

Attempting to get all three children to look at me for a picture made me realize those National Geographic photographers have NOTHING on the Picture People

This is what happens when you refuse to nap

Finally embracing the new bath set up

Shopping at Lowes for some plants

We started music class this week! Rylan loved it!

We celebrated Ian's birthday at the Kotchin's home!  Ian and LoHoma have a little girl named Anne.  Rylan was so excited to play with Anne.  Anne was very sweet to Rylan, bringing her toys, telling her about all the cars and giving her tickles.

Appeasing Mom with a big smile

Rylan has a little school bus with three little dolls.  One of the little dolls has adorable brown hair and big brown eyes.  We call this doll Prima Lucia.  It is Rylan's favorite!

28 weeks

We started off week 28 with Rylan's Baptism and ended the week with a very bad cold. It was so nice to celebrate such a special event with all of our friends and family.  We could have done without the cold.

Brunch at Grandma's favorite place, Great Maple!

Rylan loved Grandma's boozy pickle

Rylan made a new friend

I have a feeling all of these people will be a huge source of knowledge and support for Rylan growing up.

Rylan's baptism dress was absolutely beautiful and very special.  It was special because it was made out of my wedding dress by Rylan's Great Grandmother.  We are so lucky to have such a talented Nana.

We were so happy Grandma and Grandpa could make it!

Aunt Lila takes her job very seriously

Goodbye breakfast with Grandma and Papa.  They brought toys - shocking!  The Grandparent hangover will be strong tomorrow.

I tried to combat the Grandparent hangover with a pool date at Rylan's bestie's house

Rylan is very determined to catch Penny.  Its only a matter of time Penny...

Rylan and I volunteered to be part of a study at UCSD.  We went to the Children's Vision lab and Rylan looked at different pictures on a screen.  Its the same lab Aunt Cameron worked at during college!

My girl is not good at change.  All I did was take the new born hammock out of her bathtub.  She was not pleased.  It took a solid two days before bath time became fun again.

Poor girl woke up not feeling well

She wanted to play so badly but had to take lots of rests

We started our week with Grandparents in Bakersfield and ended our week with Visalia Grandparents in San Diego!  Any time your week is a Grandparent Sandwich you are sure to have a good time!

Lucky for Rylan she can watch Mickey in San Diego or Bakersfield

Sometimes a girl just needs a snuggle.  I'm not sure if that girl is Rylan or Mom.

All of the sudden crawling looks imminent

Looking a little too old for Mom's liking

Grilling with Pop

Welcome to La Mesa Grandma and Papa! We missed you!!

6 months

My sweet baby is 6 months old!  I can't believe it!  She loves sitting up, trying new foods, reading books, music, "talking" and making Mom laugh.  Her personality becomes more and more apparent with each passing day, and I say this as her completely unbiased Mother, she is the sweetest, most out going 6 month old I've ever met.
All dressed up for her beach pics

Rocking her first pair of sandals from Grandma

EVERYONE looking at Mom!  This is an accomplishment!

Coordination is a sign of sleeping through the night

26 weeks

Rylan has received the okay from her doctor to try almost any food she wants.  This has really improved her attitude about dinning out.

Ready for some white rice at sushi

Eating one handed has become the norm

Still trying to master the crawl

Ready for opening day!

She is happy as a clam, even at 3am.  I wish I could say the same for her Father and me.

She had fun torturing Mom while Dad was in SF (this picture was taken about an hour past my bedtime)

She loves when Mom demonstrates crawling

Bath time with "Bestie"

Strollers Strides in the rain

She was unfazed by the weather

Big bounces and big smiles
